Elevation Certificates

An elevation certificate is required by the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) to certify the reference level of a building for insurance rating purposes. Without the data provided by an elevation certificate, the property cannot be property rated for flood insurance purposes. The elevation certificate can also be used by the County to prove that a newly constructed building has been constructed to the correct elevation.
